Mott Hall Bridges Academy (23K671) is a New York City Department of Education public school. Located at 210 Chester Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, the middle school was created and founded by Nadia L. Lopez. Mott Hall Bridges Academy was founded on the idea that scholars need to realize their connections to the past, present and future; and understand how it all connects to their success.

OUR MISSION
The mission of Mott Hall Bridges Academy (MHBA) is to create a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) environment where inquiry is used to develop critical thinkers through teaching and learning, building positive relationships amongst stakeholders and adhering to our MHBA codes of excellence.
OUR FOCUS
Our STEAM focus prepares scholars to not only become independent, critical thinkers, but equipped for the challenges of the 21st century. Scholars will develop the skills necessary to succeed in college such as identifying a problem, conducting research, developing solutions, and articulating their findings through dialogues and end of the year projects.
MHBA CELL PHONE POLICY
According to the next Chancellor's Regulation A-413, cell phone are admissible in schools; however each school will implement its own policy. Effective immediately:
1. Scholars are NOT permitted to use their phone on school premises. However, they can do so ONLY if permission is granted by a staff member.
2. Absolutely NO TEXTING, TAKING PICTURES, or VIDEOS are permitted unless they are required by a teacher for school related projects.
3. Absolutely no bullying, which includes cyber bullying through social media, is permitted.
4. Mott Hall Bridges Academy is NOT liable for the loss of any personal electronics; therefore, these items should be properly secured, where they cannot by seen or used until the school day is completed. This rule also applies to our afterschool programs.
